PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The relocation of an existing school from the Armadale township, south east of Perth, to a semi-rural greenfield site presented challenges in re-defining the schools identity. It provided EIW with an opportunity to bring current research into primary age learning environments into a new educational facility, empowering the teaching staff in pursuing new pedagogies. The engaging and meaningful consultation with the school community, from students and staff through to the parent groups, enabled a design solution to evolve that was inclusive and engenders pride and ownership.
